Structured as a road movie, the film explores the memories of a rebellious, pacifist and idealistic generation that embraced rock as a way of life and found in the Costa del Sol a space for freedom, creativity and modernity. Filmed across Andalusia and Madrid, Back in Time combines first-hand accounts, footage from seven films of the period, 24 songs and a wide selection of archival material, including previously unseen footage, to tell the story of a cultural revolution that transformed the image of Spanish youth and placed Torremolinos on the international map of modernity.
