There, Doc meets a teacher named Lu. Although Lu is from a different world, she firmly believes that Doc is her hero, but she also knows that he has been diagnosed with blood cancer and will die soon. As Doc prepares for his own death, Lu takes care of him the best she can, and perhaps fall in love with him before he dies.
