Everyone fears him and avoids any kind of conflict with him for any reason. Tassos, however, who has recently returned from abroad and has a heightened sense of justice, does not hesitate to confront him in order to win Vasso's heart and save her child (from her first marriage), who has been kidnapped by Antonis in order to blackmail her.
