Christos Doxaras
Acting
Born: January 1, 1935
Birthplace: Patras, Greece
Christos Doxaras was born in Patras in 1935 and studied at the Drama School of the National Conservatory and cinema at the ASKE. In the 1970s, he moved away from the stage and developed a wide-ranging writing activity, which expanded over a number of years to cinema, television and radio. He was the one who masterfully transferred the novel "Loxandra" by Maria Iordanidou to television. "Loxandra" in 1980 on ERT is perhaps the most faithful adaptation of an autobiographical novel. Christos Doxaras, who edited it, kept almost everything from the book, so if someone reads it, it is as if they have also seen the series (and vice versa). He had written the scripts for many successful television series such as "Smile Please" in 1983 on ERT, "The Vlamenos Family" on ERT in 1986 by D. Psathas, scripted by Ch. Doxaras, "An Incredible Grandma" in 1991/ET2, "The White Crossword" 1986 on ERT, "The Trap" 1987 from the book by Man. Korres, scripted by Ch. Doxaras on ET1, "The Diary of a Doorman" 1979 on YENED, etc. He died on January 3, 2018.
