Maria Galant is a Brazilian actor from Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. She holds a degree in Visual Arts from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Culture and Education at the School of Education of the University of São Paulo (USP), where she has lived for the past three years. As an actress, Galant made her feature film debut as the lead in Mulher do Pai (2016). Since then, she has worked extensively in film and television, including the series Werner e os Mortos, Paralelo 30, and A Benção, as well as more than a dozen short films. She has also starred in the feature films Irmã (2020) and Inventário de Imagens Perdidas (2024), and in the upcoming films Para a Mulher Fantasma, Ela foi Ali Guardar o Coração na Geladeira, and Virtuosas, currently in post-production. For her performances, Galant has received both national and international awards. She has also been selected as a member of the Talents community, a network of emerging international film talents chosen to participate in programs and residencies associated with the Berlinale.
