Juan Guerrero Sánchez (Mexico City, 1936 – United States, 1970), better known simply as Juan Guerrero, was a Mexican filmmaker. Guerrero was also a professor at the CUEC and the founder and director of the Casa del Lago Film Club. Juan Guerrero Sánchez was only able to make three more feature films: Amelia (1964), Mariana (1967) and Narda o El Verano (1968) - released in theaters on March 5, 1970 -, since he would die of cancer in 1970. At the time of his death he was married to the actress (and later television host) Lourdes Guerrero, with whom he had a son.
