Born in 1972,João Melo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Acting and a teaching qualification from the School of Music and Performing Arts, having received the Eng. Antônio de Almeida Award upon graduation. He participated in the Erasmus Program at the Faculty of Arts and Education of Ripon & York (affiliated with the University of Leeds) and the 2005 Thierry Salmon Project, a European initiative for actors. His resume also includes numerous productions, in which he collaborated with directors such as José Carretas, Rodrigo Santos, Júlio Castronuovo, Bruno Chiapa, Kuniaki Ida, José Geraldo, Gabriel Vilela, Américo Rodrigues, Carlos António, and Jorge Louraço, among others. He was part of the cast of the short films 'Noite Gélida' and 'Noite Fria' by Luís Diogo, starred in the short film 'Antes de Amanhã' by Regina Guimarães and Saguenail, and appeared in the feature film 'Cônsul de Bordéus' by Francisco Manso. On television, she appeared in the series 'Um Lugar Para Viver', 'Uma Aventura', and 'Mulheres de Abril' for RTP.
