She looks very much like the deceased wife of American spy Jim Wheeler, who arrives in Leningrad to meet with an agent working at a secret research institute. Counterintelligence agents led by Volokhov are playing a complex espionage game, intending to identify a "mole" in the defense industry. To do this, they plan to introduce Yulia into the American's inner circle, hoping that he will take the bait.
