Unable to speak, Jeppe's voice has always been theirs, through a system they created together. Kåre and David are not just friends-they are Jeppe's lifeline to the world. But now, everything is shifting. Jeppe's lifelong dream comes true when he is invited to speak at a major conference in Mexico. But just as his moment arrives, both Kåre and David back out, overwhelmed by their own adult responsibilities. Jeppe, faced with this devastating blow, realizes that his friends cannot always be there for him, as they once were. A profound sense of self-loss washes over him, yet he cannot voice his darkest thoughts to the two people he depends on most.
