Their attempt succeeds and with the handcuffs in their hands they disappear into the darkness. Pavlos decides to take revenge on the famous play-boy, Vasos Momferrato, husband of Sylvia, an old lover of his, because as he believes he is the man who wrongfully accused him of a murder.
